Sealed bearings and k10 goodbye

Working on Caleb's Magnum... Taylor asks if I mind putting in the sealed bearings while he put on the new swing arm.  I don't at all.  I love doing it.  Last winter when I converted my bikes to sealed bearings, I found out secrets to make it easier.  Clean it up, cut the strip properly(most important), then push that baby down nice and evenly using the old loose bearing cup.  Voila!  It makes such a huge difference.  The loose bearings were not as smooth before and now it makes taking the axle off SO much easier.

On a sad note, it appears that cheap k10 forks are a thing of the past.  In the last few days someone bought the last set.  I was about ready to sell my final pair to another Columbus rider, but knowing this I had to hold onto them for spare seals, etc.  Turns out the guy was going to be using MB5 forks anyway so it is all good.  Sad day knowing that they are all scooped up.  (Not that I have a build for them anyway currently.)

On to the weather.  Warmer for Ohio for the next few days.  Today we will warm up to about 40 for the high with mostly cloudy skies and a few flurries possible.  More sunshine for Friday and Saturday as we continue to warm.  Highs will be in the 50's this weekend and possibly pushing 60 for Sunday.  Rain returns late Sunday and we could even have a few storms Monday, including heavy rain.  Then winter returns for the middle of next week with a wintry mix possible.  Right now the wintry mix looks very light.  Looking forward to the significantly warmer temperatures on the way this weekend to continue melting the snow.  Have a good one!

Best,
Andrew Buck Michael
