Down on the farm

Today I went back to Darke County to work on an upcoming story.  In past blogs I talked about how bad the icing was there about a week ago, and the roads are still solid sheets of ice.  There were a few spots where pavement would show its face, but almost all of back roads were ice-packed.  To make matters worse, the open terrain has allowed what little additional snow they have seen, blow right across the road and make it even worse...snow on top of ice...not cool.  Tonight with clearing skies we should easily be able to drop to -5 to -10 BEFORE factoring in the wind, so just stay inside.  However, as I have mentioned in the past few entries, the 40's are likely for highs next week, and possibly get into the upper 40's by the end of the week.  Did someone say moped ride?

I also finished off my "workweek" today and start my "weekend."  It is kind of weird having my Saturday and Sunday on weekdays, but hey, at least the BMV is open my entire weekend...haha.  Not sure what I got on tap for the next few days other than cleaning around the house a little bit and spending time with Buckeye.

I have thought of a new idea to motivate me to work out a little more.  As you may know, I am a HUGE fan of the television series "LOST."  Well Dawn and I have have all six seasons on DVD now, so I figured I could watch the entire series, 122.5 hours, while on the treadmill...a "weight LOST" plan if you will.  I have been really wanting to watch the series again from the start and this will be the best of both worlds...LOST, and making sure I fit in my tux come wedding time, haha.  It are the little things in life that make me laugh and smile.  Keep warm out there and have a good one!

Best,
Andrew Buck Michael
