Some days it is the small things that can get you excited, for me today, it is the addition of about 23 new Miami Valley weather stations to our weather system. The new data will be streaming in at real time and will be really cool to use in the coming days. For example, you know how temperatures cool down when a line of storms enter the area??? Well now we can pull up this data and overlay it on top of the radar, so you can see it get cool as the rain arrives.... or how the winds kick up right before the rain arrives.... the possibilities are endless... yes, I am a nerd, a weather nerd.
