Extended weekend, Grandma Judy update, big event weekend

Summer, Dawn, and I went up to Cleveland for an extended weekend for Dawn's birthday, so Summer and I watched the Michigan/Ohio State football game with the grandparents.
We also got together with some family and Summer got to see Elery again.  It is amazing to watch her get so excited to see more people her size.
Monday was Dawn's birthday and we got a group of people to go out in Downtown Cleveland for the Browns game and her birthday.
Summer was not taking a bottle from grandma very good through the weekend, but once we were out of the house and downtown... Summer had no problems at all.  Which was very relieving.

I don't normally post posts like this, but my Grandma Judy isn't doing well. Any prayers or positive vibes you can send her way would be greatly appreciated.(This photo is from a few months ago)

My Grandma Judy went to the hospital over the weekend and I asked for positive vibes for her and the outpouring on my Facebook page was amazing.  Thanks to everyone for keeping her in your thoughts.  She has always had an issue getting oxygen into her blood.  She has been on oxygen ever since I can remember.  She has been through many tests and trials, but there is nothing that modern medicine can do for her.  She has battled this for years and years.  She also knew that she could help others by donating her body to science when she passes.  She has a huge heart... a little cynical heart at times, but a huge heart.  I am the oldest of the 20+ grandkids. She always calls me "Poo Pot" to put me back into my place when I had big accomplishments through the years.  Well her health is declining and she said she is ready to rest and can't keep fighting.
Yesterday the entire family went to visit her in the hospital.  Summer wasn't a fan of the machines, but it meant a lot for my grandmother to see Summer.  I have been in touch with my cousin, Christine, all night.  She is staying in the room awake all night while my grandpa and grandma get some rest.  My grandpa is staying as strong as possible.  Luckily their seven kids are there to help as well.  So much love... so much love.
Keep the coats and warm jackets handy for Wednesday. Temperatures staying in the 30s and 40s the entire day. Isolated rain showers also expected through the day and then switching over to snow showers and flurries in the evening once our temperatures cool off. A dusting in spots is possible, but no significant accumulations expected. Mostly cloudy and cool Thursday then sunshine returns by the end of the week. The weekend is looking cool and dry. Have a good one!

Best,
Andrew Buck Michael

  1. While this place gets a little crowded and you might have to push through occasionally, it's hard not to mention that a definite plus in Chicago event space is that you'll rarely have to wait on line in their large bathrooms.
