This is the GFS model and I agree with it more than the NAM. The last NAM came out with several more inches, but that is the NAM's SOP. It always runs heavy right before the snow arrives. GFS is right in line with what I agree with. The royal blue is about 8 inches of snow. Yes, I think that is very possible by Saturday morning. The only stipulation is the initial melting and sleet. These two things will greatly cut down on snowfall totals that stick. While there may be 8" that falls, there may only be 6" or 7" that stick. So get ready! It is on the way.
